Your Privacy Rights

How to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you — what to send, how we verify it’s you, and how quickly we respond. It’s free, and it’s open to everyone.

Your rights, for everyone

Privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act, other US state privacy laws, and the EU and UK GDPR — give people rights over their personal information. We extend these rights to everyone, wherever you live. You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, what we use it for and who we have shared it with;
  • give you a copy of it, in a portable format if you prefer;
  • correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it for a particular purpose, or restrict how we use it;
  • stop contacting you about roles; and
  • withdraw your consent where we rely on it — for example, to keep your details for future roles.

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you can still send an opt-out request, and we will record it. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

How to make a request

Contact us in whichever way suits you:

Tell us your name, the email address or phone number we are likely to have for you, and what you would like us to do. You do not need to use any particular words or cite any law.

There is no charge. If a request is clearly unfounded or excessive — for example, a large number of repeated requests — we may decline it or charge a reasonable fee, and we will explain why.

How we verify your identity

To protect your information, we need to be sure a request comes from you. Usually we do this by replying to the email address or phone number we already hold for you and asking you to confirm. For requests to access or delete more sensitive information, we may ask for one or two further details that only you would know, such as the dates of a conversation with us. We use anything you give us for verification only for that purpose.

We will never ask you for a password, a Social Security number or a copy of an identity document by email.

Authorized agents

You can ask someone to make a request on your behalf. We will ask the agent for your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.

How quickly we respond

  • We acknowledge your request within 10 business days.
  • We respond in full within 30 days. Where the law allows and a request is complex, we may extend this — by up to a further 45 days for California requests, or up to two further months under the GDPR — and we will tell you why within the first 30 days.

If we cannot do what you have asked — for example, because we must keep certain records by law — we will tell you which part we cannot do and why.

If you disagree with our response

You can ask us to reconsider by replying to our response with “Appeal” in the subject line. A different person at Bridgecrest from the one who handled your original request will review it and reply within 45 days, explaining the outcome.

If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general or, in California, the California Privacy Protection Agency. In the EEA or UK, you can complain to your data protection supervisory authority.

No discrimination

We will never treat you differently — as a candidate, a client or a visitor — because you exercised any of these rights.
